Well, the Isaacs clan will be hitting the road soon to spend Christmas in Texas. We would love to see as many friends as possible, so if you are reading this from Texas we would love to visit you. Please contact us to schedule an appointment. Hehehe... just joking. But, really, we do want to visit everyone and I'm just not that great at coordinating and organizing these sorts of things. So, if I haven't yet spoken to you or I haven't narrowed down a day... then please send me a comment, an email, or give me a call!!!!
Here at IHOP we have been studying the book of Revelation and the End-times. It has been great and I have learned so very, very much. The national Onething conference will be dedicated to these topics this year. So, tune in via webstream for free. www.IHOP.org It is the last few days of December.
One thing that I have learned is an overall basic understanding of the book of Revelation which for years I felt was impossible for me to learn any time soon. We have been participating in pop quizzes at every service. Young and old have been challenged to learn to recite the basic outline and information of the book of Revelation in around 3 minutes... ya know... the Seals, Trumpets, Bowls, symbols, etc...
So, check out www.ihop.org website for free notes and outlines with more information than you ever thought that you would need.
Go and eat the scroll!

Go buy oil.
Jesus exhorts us to “buy oil” or to engage in the God ordained process of acquiring intimacy with God. We do not earn it but we invest ourselves in a costly way to position ourselves to receive it.
18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich… (Rev. 3:18)
The most substantial way to acquire oil is by regularly feeding on God’s Word. This positions our heart before God to freely receive. These activities do not earn us God’s favor.
39 Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard (encountered) His word. (Lk. 10:39)

Does God Sleep?
After two and half months, it's time to blog yet again...
Personally:
The Lord has been doing some great re-arranging in our family's life as a whole. It began about the time that I stopped blogging. I silently (and, really, unknowingly) asked the Lord how I would be able to spend deep, quality quiet time with Him. I thought/said, "Do I have to get up at 3am, when the kids are asleep, to have this time?"
Well, that was it, and His answer came at 3am when I was woken up by our 2 year old. (This was not at all normal for her to wake me up at this time of night.) So, after I took care of her, I went into the living room and prayed and read the Bible.
Since that time, I have had some wonderful times with the Lord and I've also hit "Snooze" too many times and slept. My flesh is weak, but the Lord loves me and gives me great grace.
A month ago (thanks to my nephew Stephen's example), Wade, the boys and I have began heading to the prayer room at all hours of the night. The boys take turns different nights and head to the prayer room with Wade anywhere from 10pm to 2am. I try to be there 5 nights a week from at least 3am to 6am.
The Lord has really put this on our hearts, called us to this, and then in turn, when we said "yes", He has given us the grace to actually re-arrange our lives and show up to seek His face and sit at His feet.
On a contemplative note:
The Father first draws us to His Son. Jesus said, in John 6:44, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him." I like to think about the grace and mercy that even drew me to Jesus and then saved me, not to mention the same that is given to me to continue to seek out Jesus.
So, I count it a great privilege to be drawn and given the grace to pour out an offering of my time to the Man who "poured out His soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors" (Isa 53:12).
God is gracious and merciful.
My Lesson: Be careful when you ask God to draw you deeper. His ways are not our ways, nor does He ever sleep!
