The kids and I are set to begin a three-month internship here at IHOP-KC. Intro to IHOP starts April 6th and will be an intense three month training. The two oldest kids will be in a new teen track that will equip them as I will be equipped while the two youngest will be in there own special children's equipping track.
Today we got the news that we were chosen to receive a scholarship that covers 3/4 of our tuition. After waiting for nearly a year to have the money to attend, its seems like today I found out that we get to go for free! God is so good!
I have also begun working in the arts again. Scheduled for August, I have a mixed media exhibit at the IHOP cafe. The subject matter will be on abortion and the actual number of babies that are killed every day in the US alone. I got the concept from spending a lot of time watching documentaries on the Holocaust. It seems important that we seriously and soberly look with our eyes at the sheer number of murders occurring.
I once saw a t-shirt about abortion. It had a gun pictured with the words, "Would it bother us more if they used guns?"
I propose, "Would it bother us more if their dead bodies were piled in front of us?" How much more might I get on my knees and cry out to God for justice?
So, I hope to spend my spare time working on an installation for the cafe that comes from the concept of "Let those whose graves he saw stand up." I hope to make a representation of those tiny martyrs that are killed every day
