To continue from last post...

How are we "dark yet lovely" (Song of Songs 1:5-6)?

We are lovely before God even in our weakness for four reasons.

Reason #2 The Gift of Righteousness

We receive the beauty of Jesus' righteousness as a free gift. Our loveliness comes by receiving the gift of righteousness or the same beautiful righteous garments that Jesus possesses. Sinful people are made lovely in God's sight because of what Jesus did, not because of what we do.

Scripture for meditation:
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Cor, 5:21)
